Are you an NHS Podiatry/Chiropody patient?

Contact me if you’re unable to get an appointment with NHS Podiatry/Chiropody and would like to pay for treatment privately.

Footrespect have no waiting list and we’re local.

In the Covid aftermath, much NHS Podiatry/Chiropody was suspended. The NHS do excellent podiatry/chiropody work if you can access it so I urge you to still fight for it if you qualify.

The process to access free NHS Podiatry/Chiropody care is lengthy. Firstly, you need an appointment with a GP who will consider whether your situation is a medical necessity. If so, the GP will refer you to NHS Podiatry/Chiropody. Non-life-threatening cases take an average of 12 weeks to be seen. Appointment times are sometimes disappointingly short and treatment basic, which you may feel is inadequate for your needs. Further appointments are not guaranteed.

Whilst I love the NHS and have great respect for its clinicians, the system is under serious pressure of all kinds, which inevitably impacts on us, the general public.

If you are a current NHS Podiatry/Chiropody patient, I urge you to fight hard to remain one. State your reasons to them clearly which will probably suffice to ensure you continue receiving free treatment. If this doesn’t work however, and you’d like to resolve your foot issues more quickly, please get in touch.
